ISLANDS OF WHEAT AND TALL GRASS by JUAN RAFAEL URRUSTI FRENK

Islands of wheat and tall grass
The clam serenity of knowing that
All things must pass.

However soon it may seem,
Today and tomorrow become as one
In the whole picture scheme.

Life is but an instant,
A dangling conversation misheard,
Misunderstood by the mind of an infant.

Yet, some things will always remain.
Wind will blow, bending our emotion
As we’ll rest, someday
In fields of wheat, and tall grass,
In the rain.
